2011 Whitewater Schedule

All releases are subject to lake level conditions.

Deep Creek Hydro will be operating under the 2007 permit for this Whitewater season. Further details are outlined in the permit table below.
All releases are dependent on lake levels.
Whitewater releases may be a constant flow for duration of time, variable flow for duration of time, or a combination of both. These releases will be dependent on existing river and energy market conditions.
Please note the schedule and be aware that release times and dates are not consistent from month to month.

Occasional non-scheduled releases do occur.
Standard releases will be on Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays as shown in the permit table below. The highlights of the more important changes are described as follows:
There will be no Monday or Saturday scheduled releases in April. The following April releases are scheduled from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.:

May scheduled releases are from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., as stated in the permit table below:

Memorial Day weekend's schedule will vary on an odd-even year schedule as described in the permit table below. This year, the Memorial Day scheduled releases will be held on Sunday, May 29th and Monday, May 30th. Release times for both days are 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
The standard release times for June, July, and August are 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. For these months, there will be a standard release every Monday and Friday as identified in the permit table. One exception will be the Team Friendsville Upper Yough Race release, which will be held the fourth Saturday of July. In 2011, this release will occur on Saturday, July 23rd. This release will be approximately six (6) hours from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Note that September releases are scheduled for every Monday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In September there are only two scheduled Saturday releases (see permit table below). Additional Gauley Week releases include continuous three (3) hour releases from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of the week before the Gauley Festival Weekend. The 2011 Gauley Week Festival is scheduled for September 16 - 18.
